Backpacking & Lightweight Tents-Hilleberg Rogen 2 Tent – Green

The Hilleberg Rogen 2 is an excellent choice for any trip during the snow-free months of the year, where very light weight is of the highest importance. Its spaciousness and self-supporting construction, along with its remarkably low weight and the comfort of its two vestibules, will appeal to paddlers, summer mountain scramblers, backpackers, bicycle tourers, and hunters, among others. These same traits also make the Rogen an ideal choice for solo travellers who value roominess and maximum comfort.

Part of Hilleberg’s Yellow Label range, these tents are primarily designed to be lightweight and intended for use in warmer climates and in snow-free conditions.

Well suited to those who prefer dome construction, its self-supporting design is a good option for tougher pitching conditions. Two equal length crossing poles create the basic shape, and a shorter pole in the roof provides vestibule headroom and adds to overall stability. This self-supporting dome design also only required the vestibule to be pegged, and the simple full sleeve and tensioner pole system make for quick, easy set up.

The inner tent doors are all mesh for full-time air flow, and both vestibules can be rolled away for added cross venting and the catenary patterning on the outer tent walls (where the outer doesn’t go all the way to the ground) ensures constant venting while still offering excellent protection from the rain. These dual entrances and vestibules also ensure that one door can always be situated out of the wind and provide flexible entry/ exit and storage options. Looped guy lines affixed to twin attachments on each side of each pole increase stability in poor conditions.

Optional Additions – Available Separately
For added protection, an additional tough Footprint can be purchased to help protect the tent’s floor from abrasion and to keep ground moisture from rising in the vestibule.
